Russian internal reports estimate the losses of the Russian army at 1 million 315 thousand killed and seriously wounded. In the ratio of 62% are dead, and 38% are wounded.
This was stated by President Vladimir Zelensky after a meeting with the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Oleg Ivashchenko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to Zelensky, the intelligence received Russian internal documents, in which Moscow estimates irrevocable losses in the war against Ukraine at 1 million 315 thousand people.
These materials also indicate a change in the ratio of losses in the Russian army: 62% are dead, and 38% are wounded. At the same time, Ukraine has reason to believe that even these figures in internal Russian reports may be underestimated.
During the report, Zelensky and Ivashchenko also discussed the intentions of the Russian leadership to use the situation in the Middle East, in particular around Iran.
According to the DIU, Moscow expects that delaying the US military operation in the region could weaken international pressure due to the war against Ukraine, help ease sanctions and give Russia additional income due to fluctuations in oil and gas prices.
“There is evidence of the intentions of the Russians to talk about the complete lifting of sanctions against energy. We are determined with the measures of our counteraction and we will inform our partners,” Zelensky said.
The President also instructed the Ukrainian intelligence to strengthen the work on tracking Russian military production in order to continue to limit the potential of Russian aggression.
Besides, the DIU leader reported on the updated data on cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
