This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky, talking about his meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Sweden, General Mikael Klasson.
He noted that the visit of the Swedish colleague is a signal that the partnership with Ukraine remains a strategic priority for Sweden, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
“In the person of General Klasson, he thanked the King, the government and the people of Sweden for supporting Ukraine and military assistance to our Defense Forces.
In particular, we are sincerely grateful for the 21st package of assistance from Sweden, which is based on the latest air defense equipment, Deep Strike equipment and ammunition.
Stockholm also remains a committed participant in coalitions for the development of air forces, naval forces, unmanned systems, armored vehicles, mine clearance and information technologies of Ukraine. An example of such activity of Sweden is important for the consolidation of joint efforts of partners to force Russia to peace.
Sirsky: the Kremlin will not stop
“At the moment, the Kremlin does not intend to stop offensive actions, although it suffers significant losses on the battlefield, which for three months in a row exceed the replenishment of the Russian army,” Sirsky said.
During the meeting, he informed the Swedish general about the situation at the 1200 km long front and the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in weapons and equipment.
He expressed his conviction that fruitful military cooperation with our NATO partners here in Ukraine lays the foundations for a new security architecture for the whole of Europe,” the commander-in-chief said.
Recall that recently the APU thwarted the plans of the Russian Federation in the south. Russia suffers heavy losses on the battlefield, but does not abandon its plans.
As previously stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, despite the mobilization of 40-43 thousand people a month, Russia loses up to 45 thousand – due to escapes, injuries and drone strikes.
Meanwhile, Zelensky notes that the war should end as soon as possible. However, much depends on the will of the Russian Federation itself.
