Ukraine will no longer send military personnel to basic military training abroad. This was stated by Yevhen Mezhevikin, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Doctrines and Training of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Military News reports. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
According to him, the General Staff plans to transfer the training of new servicemen exclusively to the territory of Ukraine.
This decision of the Ukrainian command is due to the fact that instructors from Western countries do not have modern combat experience.
“They are disconnected from our realities, from current hostilities,” Mezhevikin said.
At the same time, the General Staff emphasizes that they are constantly working to improve training, including abroad.
“Great Britain is the first country that proposed to transfer all training to Ukraine and concentrate efforts on separate centers and areas of activity in order to avoid their dispersion,” Mezhevikin said.
