In Volyn, the SBI detained a CCC official who “mobilized” a 60-year-old fisherman, broke bones, used a stun gun and pepper spray

“Mobilized” 60-year-old fisherman who was not subject to conscription: the CCC official in Volyn faces up to three years in prison.

Employees of the SBI detained the head of the group of one of the departments of the Kovel RTCC and SP, who, along with other servicemen, used excessive force against a 60-year-old man during an attempt to mobilize.

It is reported by the SBI, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

The incident occurred on March 20 in the village of Zabolotye, Kovel district, Volyn region.

According to the investigation, three CCC workers approached a local resident who was fishing and began to use physical force against him. Despite the fact that the man is not subject to conscription by age, they wrung his hand behind his back and broke the bone with displacement.

After that, one of the servicemen used a stun gun and sprayed pepper spray in the man’s face, which caused chemical burns to the eyes.

They also damaged the wheels of the car so that he could not go.

Due to the beating, the victim received injuries of moderate severity, which caused a prolonged health disorder.

Law enforcers informed the head of the group of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional bodily injury of moderate severity.

The court chose him a preventive measure – house arrest.
