According to the company, the deceased is Roman Chmyrkhun.
They noted that in recent days, Russian troops have continued to shell gas production facilities in the region. According to Naftogaz representatives, strikes on enterprises in Poltava region have been ongoing for the third day in a row.
“It’s a very difficult week. For the third day in a row, attacks on our facilities in Poltava region have been ongoing. We have a painful loss. Our colleague Roman Chmyrkhun was killed. He worked as an operator of technological installations,” the company reported.
The company also emphasized that this is the second Naftogaz employee who died as a result of Russian attacks this week.
Attacks on Naftogaz Group infrastructure
Russian troops have attacked Naftogaz Group infrastructure more than 20 times since the beginning of the year.
It should be noted that last year, 229 attacks were carried out on Naftogaz Group infrastructure, with the highest intensity of shelling compared to the previous three years.
