On the night of April 5, Ukrainian troops continued to attack military and oilfield facilities of the Russian occupiers. In particular, the General Staff confirmed the strike on the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez refinery. Ukrainian soldiers also hit an aircraft depot and other enemy facilities. This, OBOZ.UA writes, was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
They hit hard. The SBS commented on this as follows: “We are not the ones who hit – the willow is the one!”
According to the Ukrainian military command, as a result of the strike on the refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise. The scale of the damage caused is being specified.
The General Staff noted that Lukoil-Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez occupies a strategic place in the Russian oil refining industry, in particular, providing fuel to the critically important Moscow region (approximately 30% of all Russian gasoline consumption) and the Russian army. The facility’s production capacity is 17 million tons of raw materials per year.
The company’s range includes more than 50 types of products, including aviation and diesel fuel, which is directly supplied for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex and to provide for the occupation contingent.
A fire was also confirmed as a result of another defeat of the infrastructure of the strategically important port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea for the invaders. This is one of the largest Russian ports involved in the transportation of petroleum products.
In addition, a warehouse for storing aviation equipment in occupied Saki (AR Crimea) was hit. Ukrainian soldiers also struck at enemy manpower concentrations in the areas of Berezovoye and Novomykolaivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Gulyaipole in Zaporizhia and Yalynske in the Donetsk region. The enemy’s losses are being specified.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to strike important enemy targets both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory of the Russian Federation until the complete cessation of armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
