Law enforcement officers have announced an artificial inflating of prices by 2-3 times due to fictitious resale of goods during tenders of the state-owned company.
Law enforcement officers have exposed a scheme of embezzlement of state funds during procurement for JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”, which caused losses of over 295 million hryvnias. This was reported by the “Sudovo-Yurydychna Gazeta“, the Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
According to the investigation, a group of individuals organized purchases through shell companies. Initially, the materials necessary for gas production were purchased at market prices, after which they were repeatedly resold between related companies. Due to fictitious transactions, the cost of reagents artificially increased by 2-3 times.
As a result, the products were sold to the state-owned company through a tender at the highest inflated price. The damage caused was confirmed by a forensic economic examination.
The head of the private company and the official of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, who organized the procurement, were notified of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of imposing preventive measures on them is currently being resolved.
