President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address on April 6, 2026 noted the unprecedented strengthening of Ukraine’s diplomatic positions in the Middle East region. This was reported by UA.NEWS, the PromPolitInform portal reports.

According to the head of state, Ukraine has become a “desirable and strong partner” there for the first time in history, actively cooperating with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Oman and Bahrain. The president stressed the importance of restoring a permanent diplomatic presence in Syria after the fall of the Assad regime and emphasized that Ukraine fundamentally supported the region during the attacks of the Iranian regime.

Special attention was paid to energy and logistical security during the visits: the head of Naftogaz is currently working on the implementation of the agreements reached in Istanbul, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov is ensuring the deepening of defense and economic cooperation in the Gulf countries. Zelensky emphasized that stability in the Middle East directly affects global markets, food security, and shipping, which is why Ukraine is promoting the idea of ​​a dignified peace for all peoples. Against the backdrop of the Russian aggression, Kyiv is preparing new security agreements that should finally consolidate the state’s status as a key guarantor of international stability. The pursuit of sustainable peace remains the main priority of Ukrainian diplomacy in all geopolitical directions.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his evening address on April 6, 2026, declared Ukraine’s readiness to mirror attacks on energy infrastructure if the Russian side agrees to stop terrorizing the Ukrainian energy system.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Russia stops its attacks on energy infrastructure, Ukraine will respond in kind. At the same time, he expressed doubts about the possibility of a general mobilization in Russia in the near future, noting that he does not have complete information on this issue.
