This year, Ukraine plans to introduce new contracts for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They provide for a change in the salary level depending on the position and tasks performed by the military. This was reported by the head of the government, Yulia Svyridenko, Fakty writes. New contracts for the military: what is known
According to her, the Ministry of Defense is conducting an audit of the system of financial support for military personnel and is working on a new model of contract service.
She noted that the government has already discussed with the Minister of Defense the relevant contracts that they plan to offer.
“Again, I think that in general we will be able to go out and talk to parliamentarians in a couple of weeks, but it is these contracts that will make it possible to have differentiated salaries depending on the position and function performed by a particular military personnel,” Svyridenko said.
Recall that the system of monetary support for the military includes not only basic payments by position and rank, but also various allowances, compensations and bonuses.
They depend on the length of service, conditions of service and the nature of the tasks performed.
One of the key elements is the reward for participation in combat operations. It is calculated separately, taking into account the complexity and location of the tasks. It provides for the following payments:
100,000 UAH for military personnel who directly participate in combat operations on the contact line,
50,000 UAH for unit commanders who manage operations on the contact line,
30,000 UAH for military personnel who perform combat missions in combat areas or ensure the work of air defense.
A one-time reward of 70,000 UAH is also provided for every 30 days of performing combat missions directly on the contact line or in enemy territory.
