Ukraine and Russia are on the verge of a short silence – for the Easter period. This year’s Easter truce did not work, as it did last year.
The Easter truce, agreed to by both Ukraine and Russia, is not working. The occupiers are disrupting the silence on the front and are also launching drones. The General Staff and local OVA report this.
So, all that’s left of the truce is a word – this was to be expected. According to the PromPolitInform portal, TSN has collected everything that is known as of April 12.
What the General Staff says
After 4:00 PM on April 11, by the end of the day, 1,723 cases of ceasefire violations were recorded.
In particular, the Russian troops carried out 25 assault operations, 365 shelling operations, 566 strikes by kamikaze UAVs such as the Lancet and Molniya, and 767 strikes by FPV drones. There were no strikes by guided missiles, aerial bombs, or Shaheds, the General Staff added.
As of 7 a.m. on April 12, the Ukrainian military had recorded a total of 2,299 ceasefire violations. The Russians carried out 28 assault operations, 479 shelling operations, 747 strikes by kamikaze drones (Lancet and Molniya), and 1,045 strikes by FPV drones. There were no enemy strikes by guided missiles, aerial bombs, or Shaheds.
“After 16:00 on April 11 to 10:00 on April 12, in the area of Hryshyn, the enemy launched strikes with FPV drones and artillery on Ukrainian positions. Attempts by the Russians to advance towards the village in small infantry groups were also recorded. In addition, the enemy was active in the area of Myrnograd. Ukrainian defenders destroyed the enemy’s infantry and equipment that were involved in active actions,” the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Defense Forces added in turn.
Sumy Region
On Easter night, the Russians attacked an ambulance, as a result of which three medics were injured. A Russian drone hit a medical transport in the Glukhiv community. The injured medics were provided with assistance, there is no threat to their lives.
Russian troops launched a drone in the direction of Sumy, the Air Force of Ukraine reported.
Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war in Kharkiv region
Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Veterinarne in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by the analytical project DeepState.
“The Russians entered the positions through neighbors. Unfortunately, after capturing 4 servicemen of one of the mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they were shot,” — analysts write.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed the shooting of four Ukrainian prisoners of war by the Russians in the Kharkiv region.
“Near the village of Veterinarne, the Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war — after capture, unarmed. And this — during the Easter truce declared by Russia itself. Executions of prisoners are a systematic practice of the Russian army, which is approved by its command,” — the Joint Forces Group noted.
Earlier, the DeepState project reported that near Hulyaypilske in Zaporizhia, despite the declared “ceasefire”, Russian occupiers killed a Ukrainian evacuation group with FPV drones.
It should be noted that at 9:30 in Zaporizhia, an air alert sounded due to the threat of drones.
Kharkiv region
Today, on Easter, in violation of the ceasefire, the Russians struck the peaceful village of Zolochiv, Bogodukhov district.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
As a result of the explosion of the UAV, a fire broke out in a grocery store. Unfortunately, a man and a woman were injured.
Work to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack was carried out under the constant threat of repeated shelling.
What the OP says
The one-day ceasefire in Ukraine, declared on Easter, is unlikely to continue. This was stated by the head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Budanov.
The head of the OP recalled that such a situation had already occurred before — a one-day truce was declared for Easter, but it was repeatedly violated. At the same time, the Russians tried to adhere to the ceasefire.
“I think that nothing will change and it will be the same today,” Budanov said.
We will remind, on April 11, at about 3:30 p.m. — half an hour before the Easter truce declared by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin — the Russians attacked a trolleybus in the Korabelny district of Kherson with a drone, as a result of which its driver was seriously injured. He died in the hospital.
