The Ukrainian border with Belarus has been turned into a powerful and impregnable defensive line. This is stated in the message of the Operational Command “West”, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
As the military emphasizes, despite the deceptive silence from Belarus, the Ukrainian military does not lose vigilance, since the neighboring state remains a satellite of the Kremlin and a potential bridgehead for the enemy.
Today, the northern borders of the country have been turned into a real fortress. Kilometers of field fortifications have been built on the border areas, hundreds of caponiers for equipment and long-term firing points have been equipped.
A powerful system of minefields, ditches and barriers is additionally reinforced by the complex natural relief of Polissya – impenetrable forests, swamps and rivers.
Border guards as part of the “West” group of troops reliably hold a designated section of the state border.
