The Cabinet changes the rules for booking military conscripts for critical enterprises.

The Cabinet adopted a resolution that changed the rules for booking military conscripts for critical enterprises. The innovations include increased requirements for the salary level, a new procedure for accounting for part-time employees, and a review of the criteria for criticality of enterprises. The changes were announced by Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev, writes Sudovo-Yurydychna Gazeta. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

According to the government official, updating the system should make the booking procedure more transparent and minimize possible abuses.

“The changes apply to enterprises, institutions, and organizations that are determined to be critical for the functioning of the economy under martial law,” Sobolev noted.

One of the key innovations will be an increase in wage requirements. To confirm the status of a critically important enterprise and reserve an employee, the average salary must be at least three minimum wages — 25,941 hryvnia. For enterprises located in front-line areas, the current threshold — 21,600 hryvnia — has been left.

The procedure for accounting for employees who work part-time is also changing. If an employee already has a deferment from conscription, he will be taken into account in the reservation quota for only one place of work. As the minister specified, this norm will come into effect approximately in mid-June — 10 days after the decree enters into force.

In addition, central and local authorities must review the criteria for determining enterprises as critically important within a month. The updated criteria must be agreed with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy.

According to Oleksiy Sobolev, this is necessary so that reservations are received by enterprises that truly ensure the stable operation of the economy and critical infrastructure under martial law.
