Last week, Ukraine managed to return 15 children and teenagers from temporarily occupied territories who were under pressure from Russian security forces. This was reported by the PromPolitInform portal, Bring Kids Back UA reported.
As noted by the organization, among those rescued:
19-year-old Myron, who refused to study at a Russian school. Because of his position, he repeatedly attracted the attention of FSB officers. In order to avoid forced conscription into the Russian army, the young man was forced to enter a technical school. Despite this, he was interrogated several times and persuaded to sign a military contract.
18-year-old Kateryna. During the occupation, the girl secretly continued her studies at a Ukrainian school remotely. According to her, armed Russian soldiers repeatedly came to the family home, conducted searches and took away her father’s car.
18-year-old Oleksandr, who openly spoke out against Russian propaganda at school. During the so-called “anti-terrorist exercises”, children were forced to lie face down at the muzzles of machine guns and taught to unquestioningly follow the orders of people with weapons. After receiving another summons to the military registration and enlistment office, the boy decided to leave the occupied territory.
Bring Kids Back UA noted that all 15 children are now safe.
“For these and 12 other children, the occupation is already behind them. They are now undergoing reintegration in the Hope and Recovery centers, where they receive psychological support, assistance with documents, safe shelter and the care necessary for a new beginning,” Bring Kids Back UA added.
