The first joint product should be the Ukrainian Raybird unmanned complex
Ukrainian drones that have passed field tests may soon begin to enter the armies of European countries en masse.
German defense company INTEC and Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyeton have agreed to cooperate in the development and supply of unmanned systems for the European military, primarily for the Bundeswehr. The corresponding letter of intent, Mind writes, was signed by the parties during the ILA Berlin Air Show, United24 Media reports. PromPolitInform portal reports.
The partnership involves combining German expertise in engineering, systems integration and technical support with Ukrainian experience in using drones in real combat conditions.
INTEC CEO Christoph Otten stressed that the main value of the cooperation is the practical experience of Ukrainian developers.
“These solutions were created and constantly improved based on the lessons of the war in Ukraine. Now they are entering the German market to solve both current and future challenges,” he said.
The first joint product should be the Ukrainian Raybird unmanned complex, developed by Skyeton.
This is a tactical reconnaissance drone with a long flight duration, designed for surveillance, reconnaissance and monitoring of the battlefield.
According to the manufacturer, the system has already accumulated more than 350 thousand hours of combat operation, which makes it one of the most proven Ukrainian drones.
Skyeton believes that cooperation with a German partner will open up new opportunities for Ukrainian defense technologies to enter the European market.
Ukrainian drones are becoming part of the European defense industry, as the war has turned Ukraine into one of the world’s largest testing grounds for unmanned systems, and the accumulated experience is of interest to European manufacturers and NATO armies.
Recall that during the same air show in Berlin, the Ukrainian company SkyFall signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with Airbus Defense and Space. The parties plan to integrate Ukrainian drone interception systems with European airspace management platforms.
