Putin declared readiness for negotiations on Ukraine for the second time in a week

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to resume negotiations with the United States on ending the war in Ukraine. According to him, Moscow is waiting for a visit from representatives of the American administration, with whom meetings have already been held before, and is ready to continue discussing possible ways to resolve the situation. According to the PromPolitInform portal, UA.NEWS informs about this.

Putin also noted that during the summit with US President Donald Trump in Anchorage, no specific agreements could be reached. At the same time, according to him, the parties discussed possible compromises and options for ending the war.

This is the second statement by the Russian president about readiness for negotiations in the past week. It came amid fuel problems in Russia, which arose after a series of strikes by Ukrainian drones on oil refineries.

Putin also said that Ukraine allegedly offered to abandon long-range strikes on each other’s territory and limit hostilities to individual regions. According to him, Moscow does not agree to such conditions, as it believes that this could give the Ukrainian army an advantage.

At the same time, the Russian president acknowledged that attacks on Russian infrastructure create problems with fuel supply, although he assured that damaged facilities are quickly restored.

In 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces significantly intensified attacks on Russian oil infrastructure. According to Bloomberg, a record 30 attacks were carried out in May alone, which led to the lowest oil refining volumes in more than two decades in Russia and fuel disruptions in many regions of the country.

This is reported by Russian propaganda media.

Recall that Putin did not entrust Medvedev with leading the ruling party in the elections.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, during a speech at the congress of the United Russia party, voiced another batch of propaganda statements regarding the war in Ukraine and the domestic political situation in the Russian Federation. The head of the Kremlin assured those present that the situation currently remains completely “under control”, and Western countries are not capable of inflicting defeat on Russia on the battlefield.
