Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that US President Donald Trump agreed to grant Ukraine a license to produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. This was reported by UA.NEWS, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
According to the head of state, a corresponding agreement was reached during a meeting with the American president.
Zelensky noted that missile production in Ukraine will help reduce dependence on American arms supplies.
At the same time, the White House did not officially confirm the achievement of such an agreement. Previously, the possibility of transferring a license to produce Patriot missiles to Ukraine was discussed during the NATO summit, where Donald Trump declared his readiness to conclude a corresponding agreement.
