Information about alleged new mobilization rules and a list of categories of citizens who have allegedly lost the right to a deferral has begun to spread online. These reports are untrue, and the current legislation on mobilization remains unchanged.
The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported on the spread of fake information. The publication of the Donetsk Regional CCC and SP, as reported by OBOZ.UA, became the basis for the spread of false messages and has already been deleted. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
The Center for Countering Disinformation has urged citizens not to trust unverified reports about alleged changes to mobilization legislation.
In fact, no new regulations on the abolition or restriction of the right to deferral have been adopted so far.
In particular, the statements that the right to deferral has allegedly been lost by:
students and postgraduates of correspondence or evening studies, as well as those who are receiving a second or third higher education;
men with many children who have arrears in alimony payments;
persons caring for a husband or wife with a disability of group III;
single parents, if the child’s mother is not deprived of parental rights, has not died, has not disappeared, and is not serving a sentence;
men caring for people with disabilities of group I or II, if there are other able-bodied relatives;
employees of enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Defense; persons who previously had the status of “limitedly fit”;
conscripts who, after re-passing the military medical commission, were recognized as fit for military service.
All relevant information about mobilization should come exclusively from official sources. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, called not to spread false information.
“Do not spread rumors about “changes in the legislation on mobilization”, which did not happen,” said Andriy Kovalenko.
