The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted the first decision from the emergency package of support for the agricultural sector, developed in response to Russian attacks on Black Sea infrastructure. This was reported by UA.NEWS, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
To prevent the suspension of grain and oilseed exports, the government temporarily adjusted the minimum allowable export prices for certain types of agricultural products. The previously established minimum prices have become unattainable for concluding new contracts due to a significant increase in the cost of logistics and a drop in domestic purchase prices. The new measure should unlock the opportunity for Ukrainian producers and exporters to sell products abroad.
In addition, the Prime Minister instructed to urgently develop a plan for the development of agricultural processing within the country to increase the share of goods with high added value. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is monitoring the situation daily and preparing additional steps to stabilize the agricultural sector.
