President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty, during which they discussed the situation on the front, the work of air defense systems, and personnel issues in the Ukrainian army. According to Zelensky, special attention during the report was paid to the defense of Kostyantynivka, Slovyansk, and the Donetsk region in general. The President thanked the Ukrainian military, who are holding back Russian assaults, eliminating breakthrough attempts and destroying the occupiers, adding that there is an understanding of how to strengthen this direction.
In addition, the head of state reported that together with the commander-in-chief he discussed personnel issues in the Armed Forces of Ukraine that need to be resolved, and also announced the relevant decisions.
Separately, the parties touched on the topic of “long-range sanctions” against Russia. Zelensky noted that the operation against the Yaroslavl oil refinery yielded “good results” and will be continued.
Also, according to the President, Drapatiy reported on cooperation with the American side on anti-ballistic protection. Ukraine continues to work with partners to obtain new missile packages for air defense systems necessary to protect cities and the civilian population.
