President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that following a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, further steps and assets were agreed upon to strengthen defenses in the Slovyansk and Kostiantynivka directions. The Head of State also stated he expects at least 30,000 Russian troops to be eliminated during August. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The Head of State heard a report from the military leadership and emphasized the importance of countering enemy assault operations in designated sectors of the front.
He expressed gratitude to the service members of the units holding their positions and deterring attempts by enemy forces to advance.
The frontline situation requires additional deterrence measures
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to countering attempts by Russian assault groups to infiltrate deeper into Ukrainian defenses.
«I expect that now, in August, there will be no fewer than 30,000 destroyed occupiers», — noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address.
