The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has elected Yuriy Vlasenko as its chairman. He replaced Ruslan Slobodian, who remains a member of the commission. This was reported by Ukrinform citing NEURC, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The personnel decision was made during a meeting of the regulator. Members of the commission made their choice through a secret ballot, as provided for by current legislation.
Leadership changes at the energy regulator
Ruslan Slobodian, who held the position of head of the NEURC until this moment, has officially resigned from the post. He continues to perform his duties as one of the commission members.
According to the regulations, the candidate for the head is determined directly by representatives of the regulatory body. All key decisions are made by the commission on a collegial basis.
