The exhibition showcases the operations of special units and the International Legion during combat missions
A photo exhibition dedicated to the activities of Ukrainian military intelligence officers was presented at the Central House of Officers in Kyiv. The event coincides with Military Intelligence Day, which is celebrated on September 7. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The exhibition features photographs capturing moments of combat operations and the daily lives of special forces personnel. Among those featured in the photos are fighters from the International Legion, as well as members of the Artan, Artan X, Kraken, Timur Special Unit, and FERRATA units.
Documenting the combat path of special forces
As Yevhenii Yerin, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, noted, behind every photo lies a specific group of people, high-risk work, and a distinct operation. According to him, these images will serve as a long-term reminder of the price paid for Ukraine’s struggle for freedom.
The presentation was attended by DIU representative Andrii Yusov, cadets from the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, as well as soldiers and the commander of the Artan X unit, codenamed “Favorit”. The commander of Artan X emphasized the importance of visually recording war events to ensure the memory of Ukrainian defenders lives on.
Military Intelligence Day of Ukraine was officially established by a presidential decree on September 7, 2022. Since then, the professional holiday has been observed annually on this date.
