State security depends on international support and internal social cohesion
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Poland Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized the importance of maintaining relations with Western allies and Ukraine. According to him, russia is trying to destabilize Polish society and weaken its ties with partners. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Speaking at the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz warned against isolationist policies. He stressed that abandoning friendly relations with neighbors and Western allies would inevitably lead to a weakening of Poland’s security positions.
Historical challenges and modern threats
The minister recalled the tragic events of September 1939, when the lack of allied guarantees and internal fragmentation proved fatal for the state. Today, Poland finds itself in a unique geopolitical situation, as for the first time it has no enemies on its western borders, so this achievement must be protected.
Countering hybrid attacks
Kosiniak-Kamysz pointed to multi-vector aggression by russia, which spans cyberspace, the Baltic region, and acts of sabotage. The official noted that the adversary is systematically trying to sow discord within Polish society, using disinformation to gain political dividends.
Defence potential and social resilience
In the minister’s view, increasing the production capacity of the defence industry must be accompanied by the development of public awareness. The resilience of citizens in the face of propaganda is just as important a defence tool as modern armaments, which cannot be replaced by any material investments.
