Five facilities in Odesa region that were hit by enemy attacks have been restored
Currently, all border crossing points on the state border of Ukraine are operating in standard mode. Facilities that were previously damaged by russian shelling have resumed their activities. This was reported by Ukrinform citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
All border crossing points in Ukraine are operating according to the established schedule. Despite systematic attacks by russian troops, state and regulatory agencies have promptly ensured the restoration of full-scale operations for all infrastructure facilities.
Restoration of damaged checkpoints
According to Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, there are five such crossing points located in Odesa region. Specifically, four of them are situated on the border with Moldova, and one is on the border with Romania. Previously, these facilities were attacked by enemy strike drones, but they are all currently operating without restrictions.
The SBGS spokesperson emphasized that the efforts of government agencies were focused on the most rapid elimination of shelling consequences to resume logistics operations. The issue of security and continuity of work in these sectors remains a priority for the border agency.
Passenger traffic dynamics
At the same time, border guards note a decrease in passenger traffic compared to the summer period. While about 150,000 people crossed the border in June-August, this figure currently stands at 120,000–125,000 crossings on weekends and 110,000–115,000 on weekdays.
Andriy Demchenko noted that September traditionally remains a rather active month for travel. However, according to analytical data from previous years, it is expected that the overall intensity of passenger traffic will begin to decrease significantly starting in October.
