Trump wants Zelenskyy to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries

US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine should stop attacks on Russian infrastructure, as this supposedly causes a global diesel shortage. According to «Politarena», he made these remarks to journalists; the report was shared by the PromPolitInform portal.

Trump is convinced that Ukraine’s actions are allegedly causing a diesel fuel shortage on the global market. Therefore, according to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy needs to change tactics.

“Zelenskyy has to do one thing. He must stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia. Because he is causing a diesel shortage,” the American leader noted.

As is known, Russian oil refineries faced the largest wave of attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion in August. Due to systematic strikes on critical infrastructure, international analysts predict a prolonged downturn in the sector.

It is worth recalling that, according to the «Financial Times», more than 50% of the Russian oil refineries targeted by Ukraine have either shut down or are operating at reduced capacity. Specifically, out of 26 Russian refineries, only eight have returned to full operation.
