National Bank of Ukraine sets the official exchange rate for September 15

The cost of the European currency has decreased, while the US dollar has gained slightly

The National Bank of Ukraine has updated the official exchange rates for foreign currencies effective September 15, 2026. The regulator recorded a change in the value of the euro and the US dollar compared to the previous business day. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the official hryvnia exchange rate against the euro for September 15 has been set at 51.5231 UAH per 1 euro. This indicates a strengthening of the national currency against the European one, as the previous day the figure stood at 51.6386 UAH.

Meanwhile, the official exchange rate for the US dollar on September 15 is set at 44.6180 UAH per 1 dollar. Compared to the rate effective on September 14, which was 44.5483 UAH, the hryvnia has slightly weakened its position against the US currency.

The National Bank of Ukraine calculates the official exchange rates daily based on transactions in the interbank market. These indicators are used to reflect the value of foreign currencies and precious metals in financial reporting and for settlement purposes.

Ukraine’s foreign exchange market operates under martial law, with the regulator maintaining control over exchange rate fluctuations. Transactions in the market are carried out by both commercial banks and non-banking financial institutions to meet the needs of the economy and the population.
