The financial institution restored stable transaction processing after a temporary outage
On September 15, PrivatBank clients faced difficulties with making payments and money transfers. Banking services have since been fully restored. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Валерій Ульяненко) citing PrivatBank, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The financial institution officially confirmed issues with processing cashless operations. Users reported an inability to transfer funds or pay for goods, while the bank described the incident as an “unplanned break” in the payment system’s performance.
Rapid troubleshooting
Technical experts at the organization began restoration efforts immediately after identifying the failure. As of 11:59 on the same day, PrivatBank reported full stabilization of its digital infrastructure and resumed uninterrupted processing of client transactions.
Previous incidents
The banking institution encountered similar challenges last month. Specifically, in August, outages in POS terminals and card processing systems were recorded, causing queues in retail networks and resulting in some transactions where funds were debited despite the payment process not being completed.
