Lump-sum payment for past periods costs 3804.68 UAH per month
In 2026, the minimum contribution for one month of insurance record under a lump-sum payment for past periods is 3804.68 UAH. This was reported by Glavcom citing Pension Fund of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Ukrainians who lack the required insurance record to retire have the opportunity to compensate for the shortage through voluntary contributions. There are two separate mechanisms available to close gaps in employment history.
The first method involves a lump-sum payment for previous periods when citizens were not officially employed. In this case, the full amount must be transferred within 10 days after signing the relevant agreement.
Cost and terms of voluntary participation
The second option consists of monthly payments of the single social contribution under a contract concluded for at least one year. Under this scheme, the minimum contribution is 1902.34 UAH per month.
Citizens aged 16 and older who are not subject to obligatory state social insurance at the time of signing the agreement can use this service. Purchasing insurance record is allowed exclusively for periods when there was no official employment or entrepreneurial activity.
Required documents and application process
To conclude the agreement, one must submit an application to the State Tax Service at the place of residence, either in person or electronically. Applicants need to provide an application form, a copy of an identity document, a copy of the labor book if available, and certificate form OK-5.
Certain categories of citizens must provide additional papers, specifically domestic workers who are required to attach a copy of their employment contract. Members of personal peasant farms must also confirm their membership with a supporting document.
Checking accumulated insurance record

Accumulated records can be checked online via a personal account on the official web portal of the agency. Authorization in the system is performed using a qualified electronic signature.
The online platform provides information on wages, data from the electronic labor book, and records of contributions made by employers. This allows citizens to identify any shortage of months or years well in advance of applying for benefits.
