More than half of such developments in Ukraine have already received grants from the Brave1 platform
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Brave1 cluster, has conducted closed-door tests of domestic remote-controlled buggies. Soldiers from the Timur Special Unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine participated in the equipment trials. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The closed-door testing of the latest vehicles took place with the participation of soldiers from the Timur Special Unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The troops personally piloted the unmanned equipment and immediately provided feedback to the developers to improve the functionality.
Evaluating equipment on the battlefield
During the tests, the vehicles were evaluated against criteria critical for combat conditions. The created models are being refined based on real-world feedback from the front line, after which the remaining existing projects are planned to be tested.
Robotization of the Ukrainian military
The introduction of unmanned transport is an important element in the robotization of the army and the protection of the lives of Ukrainian servicemen. The Defence Forces are already using foreign counterparts, but the state’s goal is to create its own market for such vehicles with reliable remote control systems.
Increasing role of ground platforms
Ground-based robotic complexes are actively involved in performing tasks on the front line. Since the beginning of 2026, the number of such missions has increased by 3.3 times, and in August alone, ground drones performed over 25,000 logistics and evacuation sorties.
