The position and duty duties must fully comply with the medical commission report
Servicemen found fit by military medical commissions only for designated units are eligible to sign new contracts under standard terms. The nature of their future service and designated positions must strictly correspond to the medical findings. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
This rule applies to enlisted soldiers, non-commissioned officers, warrant officers, and commissioned officers. Contract opportunities are also open to mobilised personnel, reservists, and drafted officers.
Designated Units for Continued Service
Servicemen with health restrictions can serve in support units, territorial recruitment centres, higher military educational institutions, and university military departments.
Furthermore, positions are open across training centres, administrative facilities, medical units, logistics, communications, operational support, and security units.
Documentation Requirements
To conclude a contract, personnel must secure a military medical commission report confirming fitness for contract military service within their specific rank category.
The required documentation and signing procedures are defined by the Instruction approved by Ministry of Defence Order No. 170 dated 10 April 2009. Information and consultations regarding contract conditions are provided via the 1519 hotline.
