One Zircon anti-ship missile and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles shot down
During the night from September 28 to 29, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled a massive enemy air attack. As of 08:00, air defense forces had shot down or damaged 109 hostile targets. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Повітряні Сили ЗС України / Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attack was carried out from several directions, including the territories of Orel, Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk, Gvardeyske, and Chauda in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Russian forces used complex weaponry: one Zircon (Oniks) anti-ship missile and two Iskander-M (S-400) ballistic missiles launched from the Kursk region. Additionally, 152 attack drones were employed, including 82 Shahed models, Gerbera drones, and Parodia simulators.
Classification of destroyed objects
Air force units, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Air Defense Forces participated in repelling the attack. By the morning of September 29, it was confirmed that one anti-ship missile and two ballistic missiles had been destroyed. Air defense also neutralized 106 enemy UAVs of various types.
Consequences of the shelling
Twenty-four instances of enemy air attack means hitting various locations were recorded. Furthermore, fragments of shot-down missiles and drones fell on 16 other sites. However, reports indicate that the attack has not completely ceased, with several enemy drones still present in the airspace.
