The largest volume of restoration works took place in Donetsk and Odesa regions
During September 2026, distribution system operators of DTEK Networks restored electricity supply to more than 3 million homes blacked out by hostile shelling. Repair works were carried out in four regions of Ukraine and the capital city. This was reported by DTEK Grids, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Distribution system operators managed to fully or partially restore electricity supply to more than 2,000 settlements. Repair crews started restoring power grids immediately after receiving clearance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.
Leaders in terms of restorations
The largest volume of work was recorded in Donetsk Region, which remains the epicentre of the most active hostilities. In Donetsk Region, power was restored to 1.3 million homes of local residents in September.
Almost the same number of restorations was performed by power engineers in Odesa Region, where consumers were cut off due to regular attacks with missiles, guided aerial bombs, and drones. In Odesa Region, electricity supply was restored to 1.2 million families.
Situation in other regions
Hostile attacks caused significant damage to other regions as well. In particular, in Dnipropetrovsk Region, electricity was restored to 433.8 thousand homes during the first month of autumn.
In the capital of Ukraine, thanks to the efforts of specialists, more than 300 households damaged by air strikes are back with electricity.
“On the eve of winter, the enemy is intensifying attacks on energy infrastructure. Despite the constant danger, our specialists continue to work and hold the energy front. Since the beginning of 2026 alone, we have restored light to over 22 million families in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk regions, and the capital,” said Alina Bondarenko, CEO of DTEK Networks.
She added that the overall statistics take into account repeated repairs at facilities, some of which had to be restored dozens of times after subsequent strikes.
