Parallel network adjusts development strategy due to security risks

The cost of diesel fuel in Ukraine could exceed 100 UAH per liter this autumn

The Parallel gas station network has abandoned strict quantitative expansion targets in favor of economic efficiency and security. Company CEO Oleksandr Dubinin noted that the strategy is adapting to Russian attacks on fuel infrastructure. This was reported by Delo.ua, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

In 2026, the company continues to expand its national network, but it is moving away from setting firm deadlines for the number of new facilities. According to Oleksandr Dubinin, negotiations on asset acquisitions and large M&A deals require thorough legal assessment and the agreement of financial terms with banking institutions that have audited their reports for the previous year.

The impact of security on investments

Systematic enemy strikes on fuel and energy infrastructure are significantly altering investment priorities. When making decisions, Parallel management now considers not only economic indicators but also the risks of asset destruction and restoration costs. Dropping formal targets allows the company to remain agile amid currency volatility and logistics challenges.

Network status and retail

Currently, about 100 gas stations are operating under the Parallel brand. The convenience store project, Parallel Market, is also undergoing optimization to find the most viable model. The network now includes 9 such retail locations in Kyiv, Irpin, and the village of Drahomyrchany.

Government support and prices

The company owner welcomes government initiatives to protect fuel facilities from drones and simplify customs clearance for fuel tankers. Oleksandr Dubinin forecasts that in October-November, diesel fuel could cross the 100 UAH per liter threshold due to seasonal demand, refinery maintenance in Europe, and a tight supply situation.
