Defense reserve funds will cover timely service payments in October
The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 50.1 billion for monthly military pay and other social benefits. The funds were disbursed from the state budget reserve intended for the security and defense sector. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The relevant government order was initiated by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The decision addresses the primary financial requirements of military units.
The allocated funding ensures that monthly payments to service members for October will proceed on schedule without requiring additional budget appropriations.
Pay preservation during medical treatment
In addition to standard monthly pay, part of the funds will cover related social payments for military personnel. Financing remains within the previously approved defense framework.
Earlier, a law came into effect in Ukraine guaranteeing that service members retain their military pay while undergoing inpatient medical treatment or rehabilitation.
