Legal professionals play a crucial role in maintaining the operational capability of the Ukrainian military
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine congratulated military lawyers and legal professionals serving in the Defense Forces. These specialists ensure rule of law, legal support for combat operations, and documentation of Russian army crimes. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Legal support for combat activities and the protection of servicemen’s rights are fundamental elements of the modern Ukrainian army’s functioning. The involvement of legal professionals in the Defense Forces guarantees compliance with international humanitarian law while repelling armed aggression.
In addition to human rights protection within military structures, lawyers record and properly document crimes committed by the Russian military on Ukrainian territory. This work builds the evidentiary base for future international and national judicial proceedings against the aggressor state.
In the congratulatory address, the command expressed gratitude to all representatives of the profession for their responsible approach to official duties. The professionalism of military lawyers strengthens the country’s defense capabilities and brings the common victory over the enemy closer.
