Air Alert app adds map tracking hostile targets

Visualisation of incoming missiles and drones is now available for users

The Air Alert mobile application has introduced a new feature displaying a map of the estimated flight paths of enemy missiles and drones. The service was developed through the collaboration of government bodies and IT specialists to improve public safety notifications. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Serhii Koretskyi, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The project was implemented with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Defence, the Air Force of Ukraine, and several Ukrainian IT companies. The system is designed to ensure users receive timely information directly from military sources, reducing reliance on unverified channels.

As Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi noted, rapid communication during air raids is essential for protecting lives. The new tool enables citizens to respond to threats more effectively by providing verified data within an official interface.

Safety boundaries and data usage

Despite the visual detail provided, developers stress that the map does not track target locations in real-time. The feature is intended to provide situational awareness regarding the air space.

“Important! The map does not show the exact location of targets in real-time. In the event of an air raid alarm, you must immediately head to a shelter and remain there until the all-clear,” Serhiy Koretskyi emphasized.
