Business losses from Russian attacks could reach 10 billion dollars a year – Koretskyi

The government has allocated 22 billion hryvnias for enterprise lending

The amount of direct losses suffered by Ukrainian businesses from Russian strikes since the beginning of the year has exceeded 7.7 billion dollars. By the end of the year, this figure may grow to 10 billion dollars due to the destruction of property and infrastructure. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Дмитро Сидоров), according to the portal PromPolitInform.

Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced this during the 12th Kyiv International Economic Forum, noting the destruction of more than 1 million square meters of various types of real estate. The estimates of the Cabinet of Ministers cover exclusively the fixed assets of companies without taking into account indirect financial losses from the inability to sell products. The energy complex, metallurgy, logistics, processing industry, and retail suffered the greatest damage.

Budget losses and agricultural exports

The head of government drew attention to a significant reduction in agricultural exports through Black Sea ports as a result of hostile actions. Due to such a scale of destruction and strikes, the state budget will under-receive approximately 1.5 billion dollars within the current baseline forecast. To support enterprises, the Cabinet of Ministers is introducing a new state program of preferential lending for large companies.

Preferential loans for enterprises

“Recently, the government decided that we will issue about 2 billion hryvnias in one hand to large business, for one company at a preferential interest rate of about 10%,” Koretskyi said. The state will provide the remaining funds necessary for the implementation of projects at market interest rates. The need for funding credit programs for 2026 increased from 18 billion to 22 billion hryvnias.
