Invaders showed the highest activity in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors
Over the past day, October 26, the contact line saw 196 combat clashes between Ukrainian units and Russian forces. The enemy concentrated the highest intensity of attacks in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors. This was reported by Ukrinform citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Occupying forces launched one missile strike and carried out 72 air strikes, dropping 247 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 9,679 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,518 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 12 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.
Strikes on border communities
Border settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions came under enemy fire, including Bezsalivka, Koreniok, Tolstodubove, Ulanove, Rohozne, Neskuchne, Bachivsk, Volkivka, Hirky, Novovasylivka, Mykolaivka, and others. The invaders also launched an air strike on Koreniok.
Combat operations in the east
Missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment. In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 enemy attacks, while in the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian army carried out 26 offensive actions.
In the North Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors, the Russian army carried out one assault action and launched three strikes with five guided aerial bombs. In the South Slobozhanske sector, Ukrainian units repelled six attacks near Volokhivske, Okhrimivka, Shabelne, and Chuhunivka, and twice repelled offensive actions toward Radkivka.
Situation in other frontline areas
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops carried out seven assault actions toward Zelena Dolyna, Kolodiazi, and Lyman, and launched three attacks near Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Mykolaivka in the Sloviansk sector. In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders attacked 15 times, attempting to advance toward Ternuvate, Yehorivka, Rizdvyanka, and other settlements.
At the same time, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions in the Kramatorsk, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske sectors. No signs of the formation of offensive groups by the enemy were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
