Nationwide hourly blackout schedules of up to 2.5 stages remain in effect
On the morning of 27 October, new power outages were recorded across seven Ukrainian regions following enemy attacks. Nationwide electricity consumption restrictions of up to 2.5 stages have been implemented to stabilize the power grid. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Ukrenergo, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Recent strikes by Russian forces on energy infrastructure caused new network damage and power cuts for consumers. Outages have been registered in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions.
In areas where security conditions allow, emergency crews have begun repair work on the damaged facilities.
Electricity Consumption Restrictions
Due to the consequences of the Russian strikes, mandatory hourly blackout schedules of up to 2.5 stages are applied nationwide until the end of the day. Industrial power limitation schedules have also been introduced for businesses.
Electricity demand as of 9:30 AM on Tuesday dropped by 1.36% compared to the previous day’s level. The decline in consumption is directly tied to the forced blackout measures in the power grid.
Regional Situation and Energy Savings Appeal
Citizens are urged to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during peak hours from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Meanwhile, in the Sumy region, the town of Konotop remains entirely without power for the fourth consecutive day following earlier enemy strikes.
