Verkhovna Rada supports budget conclusions for the 2027 state budget draft

The adopted document includes 90 proposals formulated after reviewing over 5,000 amendments

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the draft budget conclusions for the 2027 fiscal year as a basis. The decision received 232 votes from MPs during the first stage of the budget process. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Валерій Ульяненко) citing the Verkhovna Rada, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

Chair of the Budget Committee Roksolana Pidlasa noted that 90 key proposals were included in the final version of the document. These were the result of an analysis of 5,236 amendments submitted by parliamentarians.

Budget planning mechanisms

The current stage is part of the mandatory approval procedure for the country’s main financial document. Previously, the relevant committee recommended considering the draft in the first reading, including new support tools for the agricultural sector, regional development, and business.

External and internal financial policy

The Ministry of Finance emphasizes the need for further work to address the deficit. Additionally, state authorities continue to fulfill obligations to international partners to ensure stable external funding.

Use of budget resources

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously assured that Ukraine would be able to cover the state budget deficit by the end of the year. Part of the resources will be directed toward purchasing unmanned systems to meet the defense sector’s needs at the beginning of 2027.
