Israel invests in new technologies to counter Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles
Israel is studying the Ukrainian experience in using unmanned aerial vehicles and countering them amid threats from Iranian weapons. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a meeting with media representatives. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The official emphasized that precisely the tactics of warfare involving unmanned aerial vehicles and the combat against them have had the greatest impact on modern global security. In his view, the global community does not yet fully comprehend the scale of these changes, but the Israeli side is channeling substantial funds into this sector.
Drones have transformed into a key technological factor on the battlefield, demanding new approaches to defense. Israel is engaging leading scientists, military experts, and innovative technology companies to create appropriate solutions.
Defense technologies and the Iranian threat
The supply of Iranian weapons to russia directly contradicts Israel’s national interests. Tel Aviv is focusing on the development of its own defense enterprises and startups to overcome these challenges.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Israel’s defense-industrial complex will offer effective global solutions both for creating new unmanned systems and for reliable protection against them. Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the average interception rate of russian jet-powered strike drones of the Geran-4 type based on the analysis of the last three months reaches nearly 60%.
