Yurii Pavlenko calls for strengthening social protection for military personnel and veterans

The parliamentarian criticized the lack of legislative initiatives regarding the reform of TCKs

Member of Parliament Yurii Pavlenko has stated the necessity of improving state support for soldiers and veterans. He also highlighted the need for reforming territorial recruitment centers and ensuring fairness in mobilization processes. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Verkhovna Rada.

During a speech in the Verkhovna Rada on October 26, the people’s deputy Yurii Pavlenko criticized the current state of mobilization policy implementation. According to him, despite regular adoption of relevant decisions, systemic issues, particularly the public’s demand for justice, remain unresolved.

Lack of expected TCK reforms

The deputy reminded that the government had committed at the beginning of this year to preparing a legislative framework for reforming territorial recruitment and social support centers. Furthermore, there were plans to define clear terms of service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, yet by October 2026, no such projects had reached the parliament.

Support for veterans and military personnel

Yurii Pavlenko dedicated a separate part of his speech to the social security of Ukraine’s defenders. He emphasized the importance of state assistance for military personnel being discharged due to wounds or other circumstances, and also drew attention to the need for changes in the current employee reservation system.

In conclusion, the parliamentarian called on the authorities to abandon declarative statements in favor of practical steps. He stressed that ensuring an appropriate level of state support for veterans must become one of the top priorities for the state apparatus.
