The transmission system operator requested a 4% increase in service rates
The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission plans to set the 2027 electricity transmission tariff for NEC Ukrenergo at 914.02 UAH/MWh. This represents a 1.6% decrease from the current level, despite the company's application for an increase to 964.92 UAH/MWh. This was reported by Delo.ua citing ExPro, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The regulator intends to review the corresponding draft decisions during a meeting scheduled for November 3. Once the commission approves these documents, they will be released for public discussion, and the final tariff will be adopted based on the outcome of this procedure.
Financial performance indicators
In its calculations submitted to the NEURC, Ukrenergo had factored in a 4% tariff increase. However, after reviewing the operator’s cost structure, the regulator determined that the rate should be reduced by 1.6% compared to the current level.
A separate tariff has been developed for green electrometallurgy enterprises. For this category of consumers, the commission proposes setting the price at 490.67 UAH/MWh, which is 13% lower than the current rate, although the company expected a figure of 546.17 UAH/MWh.
Dispatching and special duties
Meanwhile, the cost of dispatching services in 2027 may increase by 20.7%. The NEURC proposes raising this tariff to 143.20 UAH/MWh, compared to the current price of 118.64 UAH/MWh.
Additionally, a 16% increase is expected in the tariff component allocated for public service obligations supporting renewable energy, reaching 423.35 UAH/MWh. The company’s total necessary revenue for the upcoming year is estimated at 80.19 billion UAH, with a projected transmission volume of 88.04 million MWh.
