Hourly cuts between 1.5 and 2.5 stages will affect businesses and households
Part of Ukraine's regions will face mandatory power consumption limits on 2 November. The restrictions will remain in effect from 06:00 to 23:59 for both industrial and residential consumers. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.
Several Ukrainian regions will face electricity supply restrictions almost all day due to the aftermath of massive Russian strikes against domestic energy infrastructure.
Industrial consumers will be subject to capacity reduction schedules from 06:00 to 23:59. Concurrently, hourly outage schedules ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 stages will be applied to all consumer categories throughout the same period.
Causes of Restrictions and Grid Coordination
The need for temporary load reductions across the unified power grid stems from damage sustained by generation and transmission facilities following enemy attacks. Engineers must balance the network to avert large-scale system breakdowns.
Due to ongoing Russian shelling, grid operating conditions may change in real time. Regional distribution system operators are publishing precise outage schedules and details for specific localities.
Call for Efficient Electricity Consumption
Power grid specialists have called on residents to practice restraint when using electrical appliances during hours when power is supplied according to the schedule.
Prudent operation of energy-intensive appliances helps alleviate critical strain on the power grid and accelerates emergency repairs.
