Occupation authorities admit inability to maintain even a 2-hour-on-6-off schedule
Strict power consumption restrictions have been implemented in occupied Sevastopol following strikes on energy infrastructure. The local occupation administration is currently unable to provide a stable electricity supply schedule for the population. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Олена Чупровська), according to the portal PromPolitInform.
On the night of November 3, hits were recorded on energy infrastructure facilities located outside Sevastopol. As the city relies on energy supplies from other regions, damage to trunk lines has led to widespread blackouts across the entire peninsula.
The head of the Sevastopol occupation authority, Mikhail Razvozhaev, officially confirmed the critical situation. He noted that the current level of capacity deficit does not even allow for the maintenance of the previously implemented “two hours on, six hours off” outage schedule.
Geography of the energy crisis
Beyond Sevastopol, reports of power outages are arriving from many settlements across the Crimean peninsula. Specifically, Simferopol, Alushta, Yevpatoriya, Feodosia, and Saki have been left without energy supply.
An operational headquarters has been established in Sevastopol to coordinate actions. The occupation administration is urging residents to monitor official information channels, despite the lack of clear forecasts regarding the restoration of stable energy supply.
Consequences of the night attack
The situation in Crimea is unfolding against the backdrop of large-scale strikes on the power system conducted on the night of November 3. Earlier, reports emerged of attacks on energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Rivne, Odesa, and Zhytomyr regions.
Simultaneously, drones attacked the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery in the rf. This facility belongs to the top five largest oil refining assets in russia, and a fire broke out at the site following the strike.
