Ukraine has completed its 2025 harvest, collecting 57.6 million tons of grain crops and 17.3 million tons of oilseeds. The figures were announced by Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine. AgroPolit.com reports, as cited by PromPolitInform.
The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture noted that these results are particularly significant in the context of Ukraine’s European integration course. In terms of grain production volumes, Ukraine already ranks second among European Union countries.
After the completion of the corn harvest, total grain production is expected to reach around 60 million tons. Ukraine remains the undisputed leader in corn production: in 2025, the country harvested 23.5 million tons, while total corn output across the EU amounted to 57 million tons. Ukraine also maintains leadership in sunflower production — 9 million tons compared to 8.5 million tons across all EU countries combined, the ministry’s press service stated.
It is worth recalling that during 2025, grain exports decreased by 7 million tons. Due to Russian aggression, the export of Ukrainian grain through ports has been under threat.
