President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that U.S. President Donald Trump had expressed readiness to help Ukraine protect Kyiv and other cities from Russian strikes during the winter cold. The head of state wrote about this on the social media platform X, Ukrinform reported, as conveyed by the PromPolitInform portal.
“This is an important statement by President Trump regarding the possibility of ensuring security for Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine from Russian attacks during this period of winter cold,” Zelensky noted.
The President emphasized the importance of the energy sector for the lives of Ukrainians and thanked partners for their support.
“Energy is the foundation of life, and we appreciate the efforts of our partners to help us protect lives. Thank you, President Trump!” Zelensky stressed.
He added that discussions on these issues had taken place during meetings in the Emirates.
“Our teams discussed this in the Emirates. We expect that the agreements will be implemented,” the President assured.
Zelensky also highlighted the importance of de-escalation steps for ending the war.
“De-escalation steps contribute to real progress toward ending the war,” he emphasized.
