The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to increase the minimum pension payments for family members of dead and missing defenders. This was announced on February 5 in Telegram by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
Payments will increase from March 1.
The minimum pension for disabled parents, wife or husband of such a military man, as well as children of dead military men, who are charged state aid instead of a pension, will be UAH 12.81 thousand per person. Now the minimum amount is 7.8 thousand UAH.
If payments are assigned to two or more family members of the deceased military (except for disabled parents, wife or husband), the payment must be at least 10.02 thousand UAH for each. Now they pay 6.1 thousand UAH.
“From March 1 next year, 2027, these sizes will be indexed every year,” Sviridenko said.
- Since September 1, 2025, the procedure for paying relatives of fallen servicemen during martial law has changed in Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported. The total amount of one-time cash assistance remained unchanged – UAH 15 million. 20% of the amount (UAH 3 million) is paid immediately; the rest – 12 million UAH – in stages during 80 months (150 thousand UAH per month).
