Ukrnafta Reaches New Well Drilling Record

In 2025, Ukrnafta drilled 25 new wells, increasing oil and gas production by 3.39% compared to 2024, according to Apostrophe, the company reported, as reported by PromPolitInform.

According to the company, combined measures, including new drilling and production intensification, increased oil production by 3.77% and gas production by 2.86%.

The number of new wells in 2025 exceeded the 2024 figure by 2.5 times: 10 wells were drilled then. This is a record in recent years, including seven wells the company built itself, demonstrating the growth of internal production capacity.

“Drilling volumes began to grow steadily after the company came under state control. “Previously, until 2023, only one or two wells were constructed annually,” Ukrnafta noted.

According to the company, drilling volumes in 2025 are virtually equal to the total for the period 2015-2022, and the pace of in-house construction continues to increase.
