According to the results of the 33rd meeting of Ramstein, the partners confirmed a record support budget for Ukraine for 2026 in the amount of $38 billion. Part of the funds will be directed to drones, air defense, PURL and artillery. This was announced by Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
He called this meeting in the Ramstein format one of the most successful.
According to Fedorov, the partners confirmed 38 billion dollars of support, of which more than 6 billion have already been provided in specific assistance packages. In particular, more than 2.5 billion will be directed to Ukrainian drones, more than 500 million – to the PURL initiative, 2 billion – to air defense, as well as funds for artillery ammunition, training, naval capabilities and other areas.
“On the instructions of the president, they agreed with a number of European partners on the urgent supply of missiles to Patriot from their warehouses. Thank you partners for this initiative. We finalize the number after final approval by the manuals of the relevant partner countries. We hope for the fastest possible delivery time,” the minister said.
Agreements with partners following the results of Ramstein:
The UK allocates 500 million pounds for air defense and contributes 150 million pounds to the PURL initiative. In total, it provides 3 billion pounds for military assistance to Ukraine in 2026;
Germany allocates at least 1 billion euros for the purchase of drones for Ukraine, will finance the project of the “dome” of air defense over Ukrainian cities and the project of drone assault units within its budget to help Ukraine in 11.5 billion euros;
Norway allocated $7 billion in 2026, of which $1.4 billion for drones, $700 million for air defense, $200 million for artillery, and $125 million for PURL;
The Netherlands pledged to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP to the defense of Ukraine in 2026 and announced a contribution of 90 million euros at PURL;
Belgium will allocate 1 billion euros this year for military assistance;
Sweden has announced the 24th €1.2 billion aid package and a €100 million contribution to PURL. In total, it allocates 3.7 billion euros for this year;
Denmark announced an increase in the budget for military assistance to Ukraine by $425 million to $2 billion in total in 2026;
Spain provides $1.2 billion in 2026;
Canada allocates $50 million for the “Danish model” and $45 million for medical support;
Iceland contributes $8 million to the PURL initiative and allocates $2.4 million to purchase weapons through the NSATU trust fund;
Lithuania allocates 265 million dollars this year;
Latvia will provide at least 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine;
Estonia will also direct at least 0.25% of its own GDP to strengthen Ukraine’s defense;
Australia announced a new contribution to the PURL initiative;
Portugal announced contributions to PURL and the “Czech initiative,” the transfer of armored vehicles and drones within the SAFE program;
Turkey will strengthen the Ukrainian air defense with its contribution;
Slovenia has announced a $5 million aid package.
Fedorov stressed that at a meeting of Ramstein on February 12, Ukraine for the first time presented to partners the defense goals for the year agreed by President Volodymyr Zelensky and the military.
“We came with a clear plan and specific solutions that we plan to implement together with our partners. I am grateful to every country that is part of the Ramstein format. Thank you for the new strong contributions to our defense,” concluded the head of the Ministry of Defense.
Recall that on February 12, at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, a meeting of defense ministers of the Alliance member countries and a meeting in the Ramstein format was held.
Before the meeting at NATO headquarters, the German defense minister also called for strengthening the air defense of Ukraine, and called the constant attacks of the Russian Federation on civilian infrastructure terrorism.
In addition, in the near future Ukraine will receive 35 interceptor missiles to Patriot air defense systems.
